Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy Conference 2014 in Wisla, Poland

Juraj Sibik joined the broadband dielectric community on the BDS 2014 conference in Wisla, Poland. He delivered his talk on 'Terahertz spectroscopy of H-bonded glass-forming liquids and drugs'. The talk emphasised the benefits of terahertz spectroscopy that combines both dielectric and vibrational response at frequencies hardly accessible by broad dielectric spectroscopy and showed new observations on the role of fast molecular dynamics in the crystallisation of amorphous systems. The talk received a lot of interest from the world leading dielectric spectroscopists and super-cooled (state) specialists.

The scientific sessions were balanced with very nice social events, including a piano concerto by Prof. Kremer and Prof. Wübbenhorst, a conference dinner and bonfire.
