Research Interests

Crystalline drugs have limited drug solubility and one way to increase the drug solubility is to convert crystalline drugs into amorphous forms. Amorphous formulations have high drug solubility but are highly unstable. My work involves using terahertz spectroscopy to predict the physical stability of amorphous formulations from temperature-variant experiments. The conventional stability testing involves long storage time (many months) whereas the use of terahertz spectroscopy allows fast screening of amorphous formulations.
