TAG Welcomes Two New PhD Students

The TAG welcomes Qi Li and Mohammed Al-Sharabi, who both started working on their PhD degrees this fall.

The TAG is growing! This fall, we welcome two new PhD students into the wonderful world of terahertz science!

Mohammed Al-Sharabi is a new PhD student who joins us fresh off of completing his masters in chemical engineering from the University of Leeds. Mohammed will be working primarily on a project involving using THz imaging to monitor catalytic processes, in collaboration with postdoctoral hero Daniel Markl. Mohammed is a big football fanatic who we look forward to converting to partake in future THz Fridays, when he isn't too busy working of course.

Qi Li is a PhD student who joins us after completing her bachelors degree in chemical engineering from the University of Edinburgh. Qi will be flexing her physical chemistry chops when she works on understanding the dynamical processes that are in play within molecular crystals, and she will work closely with postdoctoral fellow Michael Ruggiero. Qi has already made it very clear that her interests include rice (not noodles!) and cider. We look forward to many more THz Fridays in the future!
