Biography

I graduated with MEng and BA in Chemical Engineering in University of Cambridge in 2018 and started my PhD in Terahertz Applications Group with Prof. Axel J. Zeitler in January 2019.

I am currently on my 4th year PhD and aim to graduate by the end of 2022.

Research Interests

My research focuses on investigating pharmaceutical tablets with terahertz time-domain (THz-TDS) system. This includes characterizing physical attributes of tablets such as porosity, coating thickness and uniformity, and, predominantly for my PhD projects, visualizing the liquid transport process with terahertz pulsed imaging (TPI). Seeing liquid penetration across a tablet provides mechanistic insights behind the dissolution and disintegration of tablets, the technique has now been extended to work on tablets with complete formulation as well as coated tablets (multi-layer structure).
